My wedge-shaped, hollow-form iris necklace is fabricated from sterling silver and copper sheet. I saw the iris into a top layer of silver, and solder it to a backing. I form the walls of the pendant to fit together perfectly, and solder them into a hollow-form bead. The iris is darkened with oxidation. I apply a weathered turquoise patina to the copper side walls. The back is solid silver, and no copper is located where it can touch the skin.
The pendant pictured is a medium/large, at 7/8" wide x 2 1/2" tall x 3/4" deep, and I am happy to adjust the size.
It comes on a 16 or 18 inch, 15-strand, sterling silver cable with a secure and easy to operate bayonet clasp.
