Italian Renaissance Gown

This gown was made for myself for my first masqued ball. It is made in the flowing style popular during the Italian Renaissance. It laces up the back with a modesty panel.

The bodice is made from a golden jacquard with an inset matching the sleeves, and trimmed in cream lace. The sleeves were an amazing find in fabric: blue with a cross woven gold, and small black t's. As you can see in the full photo, the color of the sleeves changes as you move.

The underskirt is made entirely from gold dupioni silk, and the overskirt is a plush wine chenille with a split up the front.
