The mighty bubinga (aka African rosewood)! I think this is the prettiest of these bases, of which I have made some 25 now. Bubinga has long been my favorite wood, about which many woodworkers would agree! The photos cannot do justice to the beauty of this wood, which comes in an endless variety of tones, colors, and grain patters. It is also among the best quality woods in the world; dense, hard, smooth finishing and durable. Cost a bit more, but you are worth it!:)
