Japanese Getabako (Shoe Cabinet)

Getabako are traditionally used by the Japanese as a shoe cabinet. This is an example of a non traditional style but design options are endless. It could also function as a linen or clothes cabinet, home or office storage or even a keepsake cabinet.

This piece is built using Curly Maple and Curly Cherry form Pennsylvania. The Maple and Cherry from that region are sometimes full of beautiful figure and curl. This always adds to the beauty of any fine wood piece.

A getabako or any similar style case can be built using any species of wood.

Specific dimensions and species of wood chosen determine sale price.
