This Katana features a traditional clay tempered blade with a geometric natural Yokote. The sword will offer a beautiful combination of natural Hamon. The fittings on this sword are all made of 100% copper which makes for a superior balance due to the higher weight. Differentiated from our budget series, each deluxe blade is handmade by our craftsmen with years of experience in forging, shaping and polishing blades.
This is a Shinken, or Live Blade. The sword is fully sharpened using a 13 stage hand polishing/sharpening process. This process is designed to create an edge that is extremely sharp, and a finish that brings out the character of the sword. Featuring our 12 fold steel blade. Our steel blades have been designed from the ground up, to offer perfect balance and handling for regular tameshigiri use. The sword is built as a perfect cutting sword for heavy targets.
