This particular box will be used in a synagog to house documents. The box is composed of Sapele (African Mahogany) for the sides and bottom. The top has a Sapele border around an inner core of Birdseye Maple. The top is engraved with Hebrew script and western lettering. Both the interior and exterior of the box have received 5 coats of clear waterproof finish. The top is fastened to the box using solid brass hinges that will allow the top to open to 95-98 degrees.
