Katama Media/Entertainment Console, Antique Whitewash

An entertainment/media console designed to go under a flat-screen TV in a spacious and light-filled living room. Homeowners like clean lines and subtle colors, and the piece integrates into a home which mixes contemporary design with native and reclaimed materials. We started with the vintage arched grate as the focal point, and designed the rest of the piece around it. The open grate allows remote control access to the audio/video components stored behind it. Side doors have vintage tin ceiling panel insets. The drawers are hand-constructed and slide smoothly on traditional-style waxed wooden runners. The top is made of 1 1/2" thick reclaimed fir, and the case is made of reclaimed fir & pine. Color is Antique Whitewash.
