Kitchen Pendant Lights - Fused Glass

Shown here are the pendant lights that I made for my own kitchen; after installing a granite countertop in shades of black/red/gray I wanted to coordinate the lights hanging directly above.

I selected a light-colored base glass, as I wanted the light to radiate outward from the fixtures, vs. having a "downlight" effect.

The fixtures have four sides; two of the sides have fused glass elements, with the opposite sides adorned with horizontal stripes of enamel (which has also been fused to the glass at a heat of 1300 degrees).

The top and bottom components are 1/8" thick black plexiglass which has been "pocketed" to accept the ends of the glass panels. There is an internal structure of rods that hold the fixture together via the brass ball nuts.

Because of the way that the fixture is constructing, it can be completely dis-assembled for shipping.

A standard metal canopy and chain suspends the fixtures from the ceiling (my ceiling is as different heights, and angled as well, so it was quite challenging to get them to hang vertically).

A single 60W lamp provides the light source.

This is just an EXAMPLE of what can be done; there are so many possibilities depending on your taste in shape & color, the decor of the installation site, the type/intensity of the light that you desire, etc.

I would love to utilize my creativity, intuition, and technical skills to design and create one or more special fixtures for your space!

Price is per fixture.
