Kitchen Table/Desk Reclaimed Barnwood Oak And Cherry
The materials for this table came from a mule barn in Central Kentucky, Built circa 1850.
The table functions as both...a table of course. and a desk with three leather pockets sewn into the underside of the table which are revealed when it's opened up. A small dovetailed box made of reclaimed cherry rests beneath the pockets for further storage.
The table opens on original hinges off a stall-door from the same barn.
The legs area attached with metal corner braces to aid in shipping.
When opened the top is held in place with a wooden brace which simply fold back flat. A lid support hinge has been added for ease of opening the table.
