Kuan Yin is the "Goddess of Compassion and Mercy".
She is seated on a throne of dragons and water lilies. Clouds and water lilies are her aura. She sits in a way to be able to get up very quickly in order to help beings that are suffering. The bottom is carved as well.
This statue is made of 10,000 year old mammoth ivory and about 5.5 inches high.
