Ladder Shelves, Leaning Bookshelf
This is one of a pair of leaning ladder shelves created for a client in New York City. The shelves are made of solid black walnut from a salvaged tree sourced in central Massachusetts. This unit measures 84 inches tall by 20 inches wide by 17.5 inches deep at the base, but can be made in any dimensions to fit your needs. I can also make in your choice of wood. Using real, natural wood allows you to have something functional that is also beautiful, showcasing the character of the grain and drawing your attention as much to the piece as what you place upon it. This is a piece that will last a lifetime (if not more).
This is a solid piece of furniture. The rails are a full 1.5 inches thick, and the shelves are 7/8" thick. It is a heavy, solid piece that will last a lifetime.
