This robot lamp took shape after I spread several pieces of scrap metal on my living floor for a week and just stared at it every time I walked by. After 6 days of brainstorming, it came to me, and I sat on the floor trying different parts in different places until I finally saw the robot I wanted! A friend of mine said that this beauty reminded her of a ballerina wearing a tutu, and now I can't see anything else but that :)

This robot is made from a brass planter, a pair of wall candle sconces, a brass candle holder base, a salvaged ceiling fixture, pipe straps, a pair of mending plates, and a series of nuts, washers, bolts, and wire. The bulb is not included, but any standard bulb (including CFLs) will fit.
