This piece was custom made for a private client on the Houston area. He's been dreaming of a special memory from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil since his last visit.
The piece depicts a traditional area of the city where the "samba" was born.
The art work was developed at Richard La Londe's Studio on Whidbey Island, off of Seattle, during a masters course attended by Lula Torgersen in 2011. The technique used is the "painting with frits" developed by the famous master of fusing glass in the US. The creation and design were performed by artist Lula Torgersen in about 4 days.
