I made this piece from reclaimed walnut. Some of the walnut had purple and white striations which I was able to isolate and create the cross running through the middle of the book desk.

The book desk adjusts up and down via a support in the rear. This particular one was made for a Bible, however they can be customized to fit any type of book, or even a laptop.
