this was a great experience - we needed a table for our new apartment and had to fit a specific space - we checked out restoration hardware etc but could not find anything, we found gene through custom made and had a great design dialogue using the website. the responsiveness, and attention to the process was very good. he helped us customize it to fit our space and decor, once the table was finished he delivered and set it up at a time to suit us and we are very happy with the finished product - simply excellent.
this is a piece that i have for sale, the base is and old cast iron table saw base from around 1920 , i can sandblast it and paint any color or just wire brush it and clear coat it . the top is maple butcher block that came out of a shop class from a school ,i have done nothing to top yet but can be sanded down ans stained ,or lightly sanded to leave some of the paint and wear just let me know what you need
