This large live edge coffee table is made from a big round slab of Claro Burl Walnut. It is packed with amazing figuring, flashing dark browns, chocolate, black, gold and bronze colors. The wood grain on the top resembles tortoiseshell with its unusual organic patterns. This coffee table has been flattened, sanded smooth and finished in a satin poly. The finish used is durable and can withstand daily use (moisture, scratches, hands, heat, etc). The larger drying checks (cracks), voids and ingrown bark on the surface have been filled in with a dark tinted resin. The top is fitted to four raw steel hairpin legs that have been clear coated for protection. Together, this piece has a mid century, rustic, industrial and modern vibe. It's a big, round, circular and unique coffee table that demands attention with it's natural beauty. Finished dimensions are 39 3/4" x 36" x 18 1/2".
