Large Nuka Lidded Pot With Iron Stain, (Sku 72)

I made this piece on the pottery wheel using stoneware clay. This pot was dipped in a wood ash glaze called a Nuka glaze and then fired to about 2300 degrees F. in a natural gas kiln. I brushed iron on the rim and walls of the pot before the firing, which drips down to create rust colors. Height including lid 10", width 12" including handles.
