Slab, Parota Wood

This slab is now an example of slabs I have access to on occasion. Please inquire if interested.
This slab is about 3" thick, unfinished, rough sanded, measuring about 101" long. This Parota wood is from the Guanacaste Province of Cost Rica. This large 3" thick slab is a very stable hardwood suitable for furniture frames, table slabs, boatbuilding, millwork, turned objects and more. Parota is easy to work with hand and machine tools. Guanacaste has a unique appearance color and texture and takes finish well. I have made numerous tables with Parota and it is by far one of my favorites!

Finished slabs available upon request. Please contact me for further details.Costs listed under the options menu reflect the raw slab and a finishing price. Finishing includes: flattening the slab, sanding to thickness, shaping the edges and/or trimming to size, finish detailing and sanding, 3 coats of finish applied ready to use.

I am happy to discuss making a table for you with any of these, or ship a finished or unfinished slab directly to you or your contractor. If you are wanting a metal base I have a team of metal workers I collaborate with to make modern, clean and strong steel bases.

Just drop me a note if interested!
