This project started at the request of a customer hoping to recreate a pair of earrings that his wife had once had. He had a picture of her wearing them, which helped us to estimate the size. It was helpful for me, as I was able to recreate the finishing details. The outer rings were hammered texture. The inner discs were slightly domed and smooth. I normally create the first sample in copper, just so we can agree that the design is right and I know that the technique is right. Once it was agreed, I made the earrings in silver. Overall, it was an enjoyable experience for both the customer and I.
