Lawyer's Armoire
Gentle curves soften this monolithic mission-style bookcase. Quarter-sawn white oak, used extensively during the craftsman era, was used in the legs and other structural members while top grade plywood was used in the shelves, side panels, and drawer faces for stability and cost reduction. Designed to hold CDs, the dovetailed maple drawers are mounted on heavy-duty metal slides. The door muntins (window rails) are joined with a very strong mitered half-lap joint. The shelves are adjustable in height and reinforced with solid oak edging to help prevent sagging. [White oak, maple, antique hardware, glass]
