It is inspired by the concept of seeds and what comes from a seed. A seed which produces food, which gives not only nourishment but ideas and growth and prosperity. The seed is a powerful thing that God has provided us with.
This piece started out as three, 3 dimensional sculpted tiles. I begin with a slab and build a house frame and then I build into each frame a propotionate fruit or vegetable. Whatever the theme is. Once I have them glazed and kiln fired I place them into a wrought iron frame and place premade mosaic tile around and between the sculpted tiles. The mosaic tiles represent leaves, vines and seeds. It all gets' grouted in to make a bold and whimsical art piece to be placed in your kitchen, garden shed or on a garden wall. It is indoor or outdoor art.
Dimensions: 8" L x 16" w x 2.5" d. It comes with a wire on the back for hanging and weighs about 6 lbs. It can be hung with a regular picture hanger. Designed by Robin Chlad, Made in Tucson, AZ.
