Designed by Robin Chlad, this is part of her 'Seed Pod Series' hand sculpted from high fire clay and hand painted with beautiful glazes. Her use of color makes her work pop and brings a cheerful response.
"I find seed pods to be as interesting as the fruit or flower itself. And being a christian, I often reflect on the scriptures in the Bible that use the 'seed' as a teaching tool for sewing the word."
The fruit tiles are surrounded with mosaic tiles of leaf and seed shapes. All is glued onto a backing board set into a wrought iron frame and grouted in. Dimensions: 8"L x 16" w x 2" d. It is ready to hang with wire in back. All pieces are signed and made in Tucson, AZ.
