Live Edge Cherry Dining Table With Trestle Base

This is a classic example of our signature trestle base crafted for a client in Connecticut.

The top is made from two near bookmatched slabs of cherry. When making a top from two slabs to achieve dining table widths, I either strive to make it look like one solid piece by careful grain matching or I highlight the fact the top is made from two pieces as with this top by keeping some of the light sap wood in the middle.

This top also features the bark intact which is an option depending on the dimensions needed and slabs available. Whether the bark stays intact depends on what season the trees were harvested. Table tops and counter tops without the bark are always an option as it can easily be removed.
