This live edge coffee table can be described as contemporary, modern, minimalist, mid-century, modern, industrial, black, sleek, etc., but let's just say it's cool! The top is a 2" thick remnant slab of Maple that came off of a larger build in my shop. This unusual piece has 3 live edges (where recessed area is seen) showing off the curvatures of the tree in full force. The kiln-dried wood slab has been planed flat, sanded smooth, ebonized (dyed black) and finished in numerous coats of a satin poly. The top attaches to four raw steel hairpin legs that have been clear coated for protection. This natural wood coffee table is organic in shape and the black finishing gives it a very interesting look. You can see subtle hints of the brown wood grains peeking out, but the majority of the piece is jet black. Anything you put on this will POP! Measures 26" w x 22 1/2" l x 18" h.
