Sometimes I refer to this kind of table as an entry table. What first meets the eye is the 3" thick, highly figured Myrtlewood top. I love a great live edge on a table and this one is spectacular. The base is made of Afrormosia wood. This is an extremely hard wood and together with the through-mortice & tenon joints, provides a nearly indestructable support for the top.
