Here is another example of a coffee table I made from a large slab of black walnut sourced from a local sawmill. There is some beautiful grain figure in the top, especially close to the crotch section of the slab. The top has been inlaid with maple butterfly keys for structural purposes but with an eye toward their decorative effect.

This is a sturdy and beautiful table, built to last for generations.
