This desk is a truly beautiful piece of furniture custom crafted from two nearly identical slabs bookmatched to make a one of a kind table top. The natural character of the slabs was kept both in the live edges of the desk and the unique splits in the tree. The desk has three drawers, the lowest sized for filing paperwork, with forged iron handles. The panels on the sides are cut from live edge burly ash slabs whose light color contrasts strikingly with the dark walnut.
