THE ORIGINAL HOUSE WAS BUILT ABOUT 1867 BY A CARPENTER, ON 'CAPITOL HILL - WASHINGTON, DC'. THE MATERIAL COST FOR THE ORIGINAL HOUSE WAS $600. DOLLARS. THE FLOOR TO CEILING HEIGHT IS 10/FT. THE CHALLENGE WAS TO DESIGN AND MAKE THE BOOKCASES AS IF IT HAD BEEN THERE ORIGINALLY. THE MATERIALS USED WAS "BALTIC BIRCH PLYWOOD AND POPLAR HARDWOOD." THE STYLE WOULD BE REGARDED AS "FEDERAL."
