This live-edge bench was special ordered by clients that wanted something special from some walnut slabs left over from milling a tree on their family farm. The tree these came from had been made into a bedroom set in their house, and they didn't want these to "go to waste" - they had them in the garage for 20+ years.
This fabulous bench features turned spindle legs on one end and a dovetailed log fitted on the other.
The style is exactly what they were looking for and fit perfectly under a window to the side of their fireplace. I think I enjoyed making this as much as the clients enjoy it in their home.
Finish is a hand-rubbed oil and oil-wax
