Mackintosh Keyhole Queen Bed

"WATCH OUT WHAT YOU PRAY FOR" ....... I built the first one of these three years ago. It sold so fast that we barely photographed it. When we put it on the web site, we got an order for one immediately. We thought that we would be smart when the second one was ordered a week later, and we cut out 6 of them. Before any of the parts were worked up into recognizable pieces we had sold all 6 of them and were 3 more behind. We have worked non-stop for the past two years catching up. This bed is the reason we have stayed 6 months behind on orders for the past 3 years. There are a half dozen different ways that we can dress these out. Curves can be cut on the top or bottom stretchers of the foot board. Taller legs, and no top paddle on the head or foot....... Paddle top on both ....... corbels on one, or on both ...... EMAIL US FOR LINKS TO PICTURES OF ALL THE POSSIBLE COMBINATION OF ELEMENTS. Then, we have to consider the customers requirements to accommodate their physical height and their bedding thickness. YOU will get to choose how high the side rails are off the floor, how high the top of the mattress is off of the floor, how high the foot board is in respect to the mattress height. Some of the dimension choices will force others into narrower ranges...... we cannot have the side rails 11" off the floor and a top mattress height of 25" with a 20" pillow-top combination mattress/foundation. WE WILL WORK WITH ALL YOUR REQUIREMENTS TO FIND A SUITABLE CONFIGURATION. The bed is MASSIVE. We start with 5/4" lumber and maintain full dimensions throughout. The side rails are over 12" deep, and have 2 complete sets of bed hooks on each end. Total weight of the bed alone is near 400 lbs. We can make it to work with a box spring and mattress, and we also have a slat system that allows the more common European use of a mattress alone.

Dimensions: There are many different thickness combination's of mattress/foundation, mattress/box spring, mattress only, or futon. The bed has to be proportioned to the customer's bedding . Headboards average 60" tall Foot boards are usually 36" or 40" tall
