Andrew was commissioned by a Public Relations firm to design and build a custom magazine rack and matching shelving unit in their southeast regional office.
The project used over 400 year-old heart of pine from around Georgia as well as lumber from our local Georgia Theater. The goal was to bring the soul of Athens and Georgia into the modern office setting.
Custom brackets were designed and built to fit into the era of the late 1800s early 1900s. The combination of aged wood and new construction leave behind very interesting textures and forms. Glass has been installed where the slits are in the wood as shelving.
