Majestic Fountain Pen, Exotic Spalted Maple Burl Wood Body

A pen worthy of royalty, this writing instrument will exceed the expectations of the most discriminating collector. A truly extraordinary pen with 22k Gold and Rhodium metal finishes, complementing an exotic wood body of magnificently figured Spalted Maple burl. This is the largest and most impressive pen that we offer.

Beautifully styled with signature engraved 22k Gold banding on Rhodium - a very hard precious metal, highlighted with an inlay Swarovski crystal in the pocket clip, and topped off with an engraved 22k Gold emblem design on the pen cap.

The standard exotic wood body is spalted Maple burl, a rare and absolutely beautiful wood species with figured swirls of tans, browns, and greens on the classic look of Maple. The wood body is hand turned, hand finished with hundreds of layers of friction shellac, and buffed to a silky, satin finish using Carnauba wax. This proprietary process produces a deep, shimmering look and feel that is more than a match for the jewelry quality 22k Gold and Rhodium metal finishes. Special care is taken in the assembly of this pen, so that the upper and lower wood body grain figuring is aligned when the pen is closed, enhancing its overall artistry and beauty.

The top quality Schmidt medium point fountain nib sports an engraved Gold design on Iridium. Included are three standard fountain pen black ink cartridges, as well as an refillable ink pump for optional use, as well as different ink colors. The pen comes in a handsome real leather pen pouch.

Additional exotic wood bodies, as well as colorful acrylic bodies are available as well, simply specify the body of your choice.

All WakefieldWoodworker fountain pens and wood gifts are hand turned, beautifully finished to a high gloss, hand assembled, and then meticulously checked to the most exacting quality standards.
