Mantel Antique Reclaimed Barnwood
This is a mantel I made for a client to match a beach themed table I recently completed for them.
The mantel is 2 1/4" Thick 7 1/4" deep X 54" Long
Composed of 100% solid reclaimed wood
The small shells at either end of the mantel are slightly recessed into the wood to keep them understated.
The top is chafered cleanly, while the base has a sort of undulating line adding to the beach concept.
Old circular saw marks left by a water powered circular saw that originally milled the wood in the 1800's is evident on the front of the mantel.
Finished with Annie Sloans 'paloma' chalk paint ,sealed with an artisan finish, and rubbed thoroughly with two coats of dark wax.
