Mappa burl is one of, if not the, most unique looking woods available in the world. Its figure is derived from the beautiful cluster burl log which, upon harvest, gives the wood its unique "black eyes" and translucent golden color. We sourced our burl from a single sawyer in the Pacific Northwest who sustainably harvests his logs, and upon mixing the mappa burl with a bluish resin it immediately evokes feelings of looking at a California coast.
