Solid brass keychains, cut from 16 gauge red, or jeweler's, brass*, each measuring 1/2" x 1 1/2", these have been stamped by hand with "I made a wish" & "and you came true", with decorative stamps including tiny hearts and stars.
These come on brass-plated split rings, and the letters have been darkened with black metal ink.
Hand stamping involves the use of small steel letter stamps; words are formed by positioning each stamp and striking it with a hammer, a time-consuming process which necessitates precision and meticulous care. I have been creating hand stamped jewelry for nearly five years. In addition to the wide array of fonts and design stamps at my disposal, I have recently begun working with a commercial-grade engraving machine, which allows me to engrave a virtually limitless number of designs.
*red brass has a higher copper content than "yellow" brass, and more closely resembles genuine gold. It is a favoirite with jewelery artisans because of this, but because of the higher copper content, it can sometimes cause a reaction in those with a sensitivity to copper (though this is unlikely to happen with keychains, of course)
