Medical Table
This solid oak table was built to support a piece of medical equipment. Since the machine that sits on it could not be near any metal parts, the majority of it is constructed using pegged mortise and tenon joinery. Needing to be mobile yet capable of supporting 1000lbs, the table is equiped with heavy duty castors. It is now in use at a Johns Hopkins cancer research lab in Baltimore. While very simple in design it is very sturdy and with a few modifications could make an excellent dining table.
