Medieval Chess Board With Copper Inlay

I had been meaning to build a chessboard for quite a time now and finally I have settled on a design after a long time contemplating on what it should look like. I have decided to go with an outlook that is reminiscent of the dark ages.
It features extensive fretwork, inlaying and "old school" joinery. It is made of maple and walnut and has the plenty of inlay in both species of wood and copper as well.
The latch on the two drawers are also made of copper and the drawers themselves are mated with dovetail joints.
The numbers and letters representing the squares are intarsia and so are some of the accents on the drawers and the sides of the board. The corners have scroll-sawn maple symbols that resemble Keltic art on all three sides of them.
The pieces are turned on lathe and have felt covering the bottom. The Knights are carved to be dragons.
The wood used is not stained or dyed, but is covered with a few layers of sprayed lacquer.
Size of the board is 20 3/4" x 20 3/4 x 3"
