He was methodical and solution-focused, while we threshed through the myriad of material and design details to achieve our objectives…
Its not hyperbole to say he knocked it out of the park, this fixture is a piece of industrial design art!
The old adage that “you get what you pay for” Is a gross over simplification, I’ve paid too much hoping for the best, for mediocre workmanship… more time than I’d like to remember!
However experience is priceless, and it this case it was worth every penny!

This is a custom fabricated reception desk made of clear coated hot rolled steel plate for the build out of a corporate headquarters in a vintage industrial space. Design was by the project architect and detailing / fabrication by us.
The panels were all cut from a single 6'x10' sheet of plate so that the metal grain pattern would run continuously throughout the piece from left to right. Steel panels are held in place by exposed flat socket head screws. The piece features upper privacy panel routed into the live edge maple slab and a lower modesty panel. Cutting was done by water jet so that the steel panels could be "scribed" to fit the uneven concrete factory floor.
