Bookcase Or Room Divider Mid Century Modern Finished Custom Made Tall Boy With Extra Height Shelves
This Tall Boy mr2 Solid Cherry Mid Century Bookcase was designed for narrow spaces and has extra height shelves.
This mr2 Woodworking Custom Mid Century solid Cherry Bookcase which is 77" High x 12" Deep x 24" Wide. This bookcase is made from solid natural cherry and can be finished in satin semi or semi-gloss lacquer. The shelves and vertical pieces are made of boards which utilize biscuits and compression gluing for maximum strength, stability and a finished look. The bookcase shown is solid cherry, stained a mid-tone cherry with a satin finish. The bottom shelf is approximately 18" high and the upper shelves are approximately 12" high.
Each joint is screwed and covered with cherry dowels to insure maximum strength and integrity. After compression gluing the boards, each piece is planed and sanded for thickness uniformity, smoothness and appearance.
Due to the extreme height of the shelves, back braces have been provided to insure maximum strength and rigidity of the piece.

There are four tapered Mid Century style feet under the bottom shelf to support the bookcase.
Each piece is custom made and takes 6-8 weeks depending upon the backlog.
There are 4-5 coats of polyurethane applied. Each coat is allowed to cure and then sanded before the next coat is applied.
The piece is shipped completely assembled and shipped in multiple layers of bubble wrap and multiple layers of cardboard in a single carton.
This design and/or custom designed Mid Century pieces can also be requested in in both stained and solid color versions.
