Chest of drawers on stand to match my nightstand and bed design to create a complete suite. Primary chest, stand, and drawer pulls in cherry wood. Drawer fronts, back panel, and drawer bottoms in spalted sycamore wood. Drawer sides and backs in hard maple. Primary case and drawers feature dovetail joinery while the stand features mortise tenon joinery.

Process: primarily using hand tools
Cherry wood primary case is joined by hand cut dovetails
Cherry wood stand is constructed by mortise tenon
Drawers are dovetailed featuring spalted sycamore fronts, book-matched sycamore bottoms, and maple back and sides
Frame and panel back (no plywood slapped to the back)
Cherry drawer pulls are dovetailed into top edge of drawer fronts
No hardware or slides, drawers are traditionally and carefully slide
All hand planed and card scraped.
Finished with oil varnish and wax
