Mid Century Modern Nightstand
Description
This has been a fantastic night stand design, especially in terms of function. The case creates ample space for books and such to avoid cluttering the top thus allowing space for an alarm clock and/or lamp. The small drawer creates a safe place for small items such as jewelry, wallet, phone, and collectables. The case is perched on the stand creating a floating effect. This is a very good example of handmade midcentury modern style.

Cherry and spalted sycamore wood
Hand cut dovetails with playful spacings on the primary case and small drawer
Hand cut/chopped mortise tenon joinery on the stand
All hand planed
Oil varnish and wax finish
