Modern Adirondack Chair Lounger From Reclaimed Redwood.

Maybe, the worlds most comfortable Adirondack Chair, Mid Century, Estate Patio Furniture, Modern Adirondack Chair, Eames Lounge Chair, Herman Miller, Vitra

This Adirondack Lounger takes its design queues from the quintessential modern classic Eames Lounge Chair and Ottoman. Made with reclaimed old growth redwood it's like a California time capsule. The redwood tambour slats are used like fabric to upholster the sleek curves then fastened with dowel & peg style joinery. The detached headrest is tilted forward so it actually supports your head when you set back. The bottom of the chair features a swooped down cockpit style saddle for hours of comfortable lounging. The ottoman has tapered, cantilevered legs to give it a floating sputnik look. Hand sanded and finished with no pigment linseed oil for that natural aged redwood color.

This lounge chair is sold with the ottoman only. Adirondack chairs without headrest and ottoman are available. Offered in you choice of Reclaimed Redwood or Mahogany. Other woods are avalible.

About Reclaimed Old Growth Redwood; The stock used to make this chair was harvested and milled in Mendocino county California and sold for decking in Grass Valley California in 1978. They do not harvest any old growth redwood trees any more so the only way to get it is from reclaimed or recovered timber like sinker logs, old decks, fences and other structures. It's prized for it distinctive deep amber red color that can only be achieved by ageing.
