We were lucky enough to have Michael take on our custom bookcase/entertainment center. He possesses both the technical skills and aesthetic acumen needed for our project. Was able to quickly identify the best construction methods to bring the project from conception to completion. During the process Michael was proactive in his schedule updates, listens well to feed-back and responded to questions in a timely manner.
Michael not only delivered a beautiful and functional piece of furniture but made the entire process a pleasant experience. I'd highly recommend him for customer furniture projects!
The project was inspired by past design elements I have already completed in multiple rooms of this home. The goal was to create a space that was rustic yet modern & functional. The 8/4 vertical grain fur was the base idea with an old barn wood look. The coloring on the cedar wood walls & cabinets where achieved by multiple layers of paint washes & hand sanding, using paint colors that are already throughout the house. The wall & behind TV lighting are controlled by wireless HUE bulbs.
