Modern Walnut Waterfall Table

This 1 1/2" solid walnut table is waterfall style, that is where the top simply folds over to become the leg. In this instance, the leg folds beyond 90 degrees to give the table more animation and grace. The grace achieved by the angle(s) make this modern table much more approachable (right angles, and legs without tapers, lead to a harsher modern feeling, what some may call 'Angry'). The leg width also gently tapers to the floor exaggerating its length, and the top also tapers away from the leg (the same piece of lumber runs through the top and down the leg, because the top and leg taper, each piece of lumber also is tapered away from the joint. The lumber and glue joints are like perspective lines, reinforcing the exaggeration of its length). The zebrawood legs understatedly support the other end. Designed as a larger entry table, to catch papers, books and electronics, as the clients come home.

Dimensions: about 29 tall 26 wide and 60 long (737x660x1524)
