Quilted Landscape Wall Hanging - "Mother And Child"
This quilted wall hanging measures 18" x 22". The mother represents the love and devotion of a new mother gazing at her new-born child. This piece was inspired by my own memories of being a new mother many years ago.
Most of my pieces are ocean scenes, representing my delight in returning to my home state of Maine after a 40 year absence.
I collect landscape fabrics of all types in order to create backgrounds for my main figures.
All my wall hangings include a hanging sleeve attached to the back for hanging easily on a rod.
My applique work is called raw edge applique and all fabric appliques are attached with fusible material and then stitched.
