The box is absolutely beautiful! Bruce is lovely to work with. He was able to listen to what I wanted then was able to use his expertise to create a very striking memorial box for my dog's ashes. From exotic wood selection to size dimensions, Bruce guided us through the best looking options and was honest and direct when we were leaning towards things that wouldn't look good. I appreciate how easy it was to trust Bruce's aesthetic style and talent rather than having to research and worry about every detail myself. I've had bad past experiences with people who depended on me, the novice customer, to make every decision and it was quite stressful. Bruce is a professional and he was able to interpret my vision into a work of art to remember a very special member of our family. Thank you!
While I usually don't make the same box twice, this was a must do.
A good friend of mine, who has invented many woodworking accessories, making the entire craft much safer and saving me countless trips to the E.R. asked me to re-do my eye-book.
Considering all the help he'd provided to me, there was no way I could refuse.
And Mr. Wang's book of Dragons was born. The dragon part of the name refers to the excellent and almost magical (in its simplicity) nature of his wonderful creations.
I did change the woods, this time using Goncalo Alves for the covers of the "book", the addition of a Bloodwood "bookmark" and a carved, what else, dragon semi-precious medallion inset into the cover.
I hope this box/book lives up to the name I've given it and the excellent devices Mr. Wang has invented for the entire woodworking world to use.
