mr2 Solid Cherry Bookcase can accommodate up to 15 inch high books!
mr2 Woodworking Custom Mid Century Solid cherry Bookcase which is 60" High x 10" Deep x 32" Wide. This bookcase is made from solid cherry boards and can be finished in satin semi or gloss lacquer. The shelves and vertical pieces are made of boards which utilize biscuits and compression gluing for maximum strength, stability and a finished look. Each joint is screwed and covered with cherry dowels to insure maximum strength and integrity. After compression gluing the boards, each piece is planed and sanded for thickness uniformity, smoothness and appearance. The bottom shelf can accommodate 15" high items and the upper shelf heights are 10.5 inches. Other sizes, shapes and wood material can also be quoted.
There are four tapered Mid Century legs under the bottom shelf to support the bookcase.
Each piece is custom made and takes 4-8 weeks depending upon the backlog.
There are multiple coats of polyurethane applied. Each coat is allowed to cure and then sanded before the next coat is applied.
The piece is shipped completely assembled and shipped in multiple layers of bubble wrap and multiple layers of cardboard in a single carton.
Shipping costs are estimated for the West Coast (See Shipping & Policies). If total shipping costs are lower, a refund would be applied when shipped. This design and/or custom designed Mid Century pieces can also be requested in in both stained and solid color versions.

Rick was A+++ in his communication and customer service; a true professional. I had a custom job request and even after approval of his drawing, he re-worked one small item to add stability to the book shelf (of which I never would have noticed nor thought-of, plus I already signed off on it - how often does that happen in life?!). He clearly cares about his work and shows judgment of a true professional.
He sent me 4 samples of the stains to ensure I liked the color of the piece; he sent pictures throughout the process, at each step and I know I will love the piece after I open it.
I haven't had a chance to open/inspect the final product due to work on my house but I would definitely work with him again (and will update my review after my house isn't torn apart).
