Solid Mahogany Bench Seat Or Accent Table In A Contemporary Style.
The mr2 Signature Series Bench/Table is made of multiple 6/4 solid Honduras Mahogany stock. The bench is 36" Wide x 13" Deep x 17 3/4" High with 4-5 coats of clear satin finish polyurethane. Dimensions may vary a small amount depending upon available stock.
This bench design is for people who appreciate the pure simplistic beauty of wood grain, pattern and structure created by nature.
The piece is made from rare Honduras Mahogany stock which has been dressed down and hand planed to minimize loss of wood and bring out all the uniqueness of the wood. The edges are sharp and crisp with only the use of clear coat polyurethane to bring out the wood color, textures and grain patterns.
All surfaces have been finely sanded and finished including the underside of the piece. You can actually turn the piece over and enjoy it!
The leg assemblies are built using biscuits and professional wood glue to create a single strong piece with no screws or dowels showing. Each leg assembly is attached to the seat with 3 lag bolts and covered with a Mahogany plate to create a solid piece with no attachments showing.
The top of the piece is made from multiple board stock that has biscuits and compression gluing to joint the pieces together.
