Mt Rainier National Park Rock Retaining Walls

I had an incredible opportunity to assist in installing 11,000 sq. ft. of boulder retaining walls on Cayuse Pass, WA within Mt Rainier National Park. The project took 4 months & used 4,000 tons of boulders. I was a subcontractor to the sub-prime general contractor, who provided the support manpower, machinery, & stone. Local basalt boulders were shipped from Enumclaw, WA to the job site at ( 3 ) 32 yd end dumps per day for over 3 months continuously. The walls varied in length from 500 to 1,000' long and were also 14 to 18' tall. I selected all the boulders & set them according to Federal Highway Specifications. The National Park Service absolutely loved the rock work I did.
