My Mom's Loom

This 1:12 scale floor loom is a replica of the loom my mother used to weave on. She was a profecional weaver for many years and I use to sit and watch her weave for hours. When she died in 1987 I gave her loom to a local weaver's guild and forgot about it. When I started building miniatures, it was one of the first projects I considered, but in the end it was almost 6 years before I had a chance to build it. This particular piece won best in show at the 2010 Toronto MET show.
This piece was made from maple and is an exact working replica, although I don't know If I would want to weave on it.
This is a good example of some of the more complex pieces I have built. The Dimensions are as follows:
Dimensions:
Loom:
4-3/4" wide
4-3/4" tall
3" deep
Stool
3" wide
